am new here, am the sister of a minister of the jw in ireland, and also the aunt of 2 lovely nephews soon to be baptized into jw's faith!!
we've tried for years to make her see sense and leave the jw's but it doens't work!!

she was talking about one of the faithful old "brothers" who had recently passed away.
"sister husband's-high-up-in-the-organization mentioned that if armageddon doesn't come soon, the great crowd won't be "great" any longer, it'll be little, 'cause the older generation is all dying off.".

Women, girls, ladies -- 5 biggest "turn on's" / "turn off's"

in preperation for a class i'll be taking starting next month entitled "history of love, sex and marriage" i would like to probe your heart's desire to find out the 5 biggest turn on's and 5 biggest turn off's you find in men.
and well, hell, i also would just like to add to my general knowledge.

Some of the big turn-offs for me are: Tattoos, smokers, tobacco chewers, alcohol abusers, men with earrings, gaudy jewelry and clothes, haughty attitude.
I used to think this guy where I work was so hot, and with such a nice personality. That was my opinion until one day he showed up at work with a tank top which revealed his upper arm tattoos, and he was wearing an earring stud, and he was chewing tobacco and spitting it out on top of that(AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). I never thought the same of him. It's only "hi!" and "Bye" between us from that day on. I avoid him as much as possible. GROSSED ME OUT!!!!!!!!!
All those bad habits/choices take away everything in a man. My personal opinion, of course.

I am new here, former JW left years ago.
by out of the box ini want to discuss my experiences with the witnesses.
how it began: i was recruited during the time i was escaping from a violent husband to a shelter.
a witness came to my door as i was preparing to move during the day without him knowing (while he was at work).

there is also the scripture about "counting the cost" implying that one should not undertake any project without making an assessment as to whether or not they could do it.

Who ever says that the WBTS does not have a paid clergy class is flat out lying!!!
The JW's paid clergy class are:
1)- Pioneers (Special)
2)- Missionaries
3)-Circuit Overseers
4)-District Overseers
5)-Bethelites (All working in branches throughout the world)
6)-Worldwide construction work personnel.
I think I've covered them all.
Every time these people visited the congregations I've attended I'd have an argument with my husband. These individuals get all their expenses (food, clothing, lodging, health insurance, cars, gas, other fees, etc.) paid by the congregations or by the WBTS directly, plus all brothers and sisters offer their services to them for nothing; on top of that there's always some money collection for them because "they are in the service of Jehovah full time".
Burns me up inside oh so badly!!!
